Bermudagrass
Cynodon dactylon
Bermudagrass is widely used for all kinds of turf in warm humid and warm semi-arid regions. It thrives best where the average daily temperature is above 25 degrees Celsius and stops growing under 16 degrees, turning brown at temperatures below 10 degrees. Bermudagrass does not tolerate shade, poor drainage, or high soil acidity. It is a very drought resistant grass but for normal growth it needs water and can't be grown in arid regions without irrigation. Due to good wear tolerance and good recuperation, it is and ideal sports turf grass. It is also very tolerant to close mowing, making it suitable for golf greens in areas as described.

Barbados
Don't settle for less than the best. Barbados outperforms the known seeded varieties in all major categories. Barbados even equals the quality of the vegetative varieties!
Barbados has proven itself in U.S. and international trials. Also NTEP shows the quality of Barbados. Barbados is finer leaved than Princess 77 and Riviera and also exhibits fantastic spring and summer density. Barbados is very aggressive in spring which allows for easy recovery from winter over seeding stresses. In Fall Barbados exhibits a more open turf allowing for better establishment of over seeded cool season grasses. Barbados is closing the difference between seeded varieties and vegetative varieties, in several trials it is even better.
