At the CRT National Conference, Heritage Seeds won the 2010 Supplier of the Year Award for Queensland in the Agchem and Seed Category. This award recognises the efforts of the all the Heritage Seeds staff involved in the Queensland business and is a tribute to their hard work and persistence.
The other exciting result was that Heritage Seeds finished sixth in the National Supplier of tAhe Year Award. The National Award includes all suppliers from all states. In the previous year, the company finished in 32nd place.
All CRT member stores participate in a national supplier survey that considers a range of criteria including sales rep support, product quality, customer service, new products, marketing and logistics & distribution.
CRT is Australia’s largest group of independent rural retailers, with more than 400 stores across all states. Heritage Seeds works closely with about 150 of these stores and they represent a significant portion of our domestic sales.
Heritage Seeds is one of Australia’s largest seed companies and is part of the worldwide Royal Barenbrug Group, with global seed sales of 150 Million Euro. Together the group acts synergistically across continents for the R&D, production, marketing and export of seed.
Domestic markets include dairying, meat and livestock grazing, sub/tropical agriculture, turf and amenity, reclamation, viticulture, grains and seed coating. It has a 70-hectare seed research facility located at Howlong, NSW and employs 54 people nation-wide.
